Card Workshop Terms of Use

Version 2026-09-28

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of the Card Workshop at drgoon.win (the "Operator", "we", "us"). They cover the Card Workshop website, sign-in with Google, the card-making tools, your shelf, and the preview and print files it produces (together, the "Service"). By logging in and pressing "I agree", you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old. The Service can produce art at maturity levels chosen per card, and some of what it can make is not for minors, so there is no version of it for anyone younger. By using it you confirm you are 18 or over and that using it is legal where you live.

2. Your login

You sign in with a Google account. Whoever can sign in to that Google account is signed in as you, so keep it secure: it is your key to this account. One person, one login. Do not share a login, make logins for other people, or make more than one for yourself. A login with no activity for a long time may be removed after notice to its email address.

3. What the Service is

The Service makes custom card art. You describe a character or a scene, or give a photo, and a machine-learning model on our equipment renders a picture, which is then laid out as a card. The results are generated, not drawn by a person, and they will not always be what you imagined. Renders are queued and can be slow or unavailable when the equipment is busy or down.

The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher or card maker. Names and marks that appear on a card belong to their owners. What we make are custom art cards for personal use. They are not official cards of any game and may not be represented as such.

4. What you give us

You keep whatever rights you have in the words and pictures you upload. You give us a licence to store them, process them through our tools, show the results to you on your shelf, and keep the finished cards and the information needed to remake them. This licence lasts as long as your cards do, and ends for a card when you delete it, except for copies in our backups, which are overwritten in the normal course of keeping backups.

If you press "Offer it to the show", you also allow the Operator to display that card on a live stream, to sell physical prints of it, and to keep it in the show's records. That permission does not end when you delete the card from your shelf.

By uploading anything you promise that you have the right to, and in particular that any recognisable person in a photo has agreed to it being used this way. A photo of someone who did not agree is the one upload we will act on fastest.

5. What you get

To the extent that generated pictures can be owned at all, and the law on that is unsettled, we give you all the rights we have in the cards made from your requests, for your personal, non-commercial use. We do not promise that a generated picture is protectable, original, or free of resemblance to existing work, because a model trained on the world's pictures cannot promise that. Previews you see in the Service carry a watermark. The clean print file is provided where your login allows it.

6. What you must not do

You must not use the Service to request, make, upload or share:

You must also not probe, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service, try to reach anything on it that is not yours, work around its limits and refusals, resell access, or present its output as an official product of any game publisher.

7. Refusals and moderation

The Service refuses some requests automatically, by theme and by wording, and the Operator reviews what is made. We may decline any request, remove any card, adjust any login's limits, or close any login, with or without notice, when we judge it necessary. Where we believe a serious crime has been attempted, we may preserve records and report them.

8. Fair use of shared equipment

The Service runs on one machine that is shared by everyone using it. Each login makes one card at a time, keeps a limited number of cards on its shelf, and may be rate-limited. These limits can change. There is no promise of availability, speed or continuity, and the Service may be paused or ended at any time.

9. Physical cards and purchases

The Service itself is free. Physical cards are sold separately, during live streams and through other channels, under the terms of the platform where the sale happens. Those sales are between you and the Operator on that platform, and that platform's rules on payment, shipping and returns apply to them.

10. Privacy

We store your email address, your login name, the words and pictures you upload, the cards that result, when you log in, and ordinary server logs. Sign-in is handled by Google, and web traffic is carried through Cloudflare, which processes that data on our behalf. We do not sell your information and do not share it except to run the Service, to comply with law, or with your permission. Reference photos you upload for a render are held in memory for a short time and are not written to disk. When you send an order through the Service we also store the shipping address and contact details you give with it; only we see them, we use them only to fulfil that order, and the address is deleted 60 days after the order ships. You can ask us to delete your login and its cards, and we will, apart from cards you offered to the show and records we must keep.

11. Our property

The Service, its software, its layouts, frames and templates, its name and its look are the Operator's. Using the Service gives you no rights in them beyond the cards you make.

12. No warranty

The Service is provided as it is and as it is available, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Generated content may be wrong, offensive or unexpected. Use your judgement before sharing anything it makes.

13. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from the Service or these terms. Our total liability to you for anything connected with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free Service is nothing. Some places do not allow some of these limits, and there they apply only as far as the law permits.

14. Your responsibility to us

If a claim is made against the Operator because of what you uploaded, what you asked for, or how you used the Service in breach of these terms, you agree to cover the costs and damages that result, including reasonable legal fees.

15. Ending things

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask for your login to be deleted. We can suspend or close a login at any time for breach of these terms, for legal reasons, or because the Service is ending. Sections 4 through 7 and 11 through 16 survive the end of your login.

16. Changes

We may change these terms. When we do, the version date at the top changes, and you will be asked to read and accept the new terms the next time you log in. Continuing to use the Service after accepting is agreement to the new terms.

17. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to contact us and give us thirty days to try to resolve it. Any claim that cannot be resolved that way is brought in the state or federal courts of Michigan, and you agree to their jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

18. Contact

Questions about these terms, requests to delete a login, and reports of content that breaks them can be sent to the Operator at the contact shown on drgoon.win, or through the Discord where the show is run.
